About the Movie
FOREST WALK is an indie stoner tabletop comedy about a group of friends whose game night gets out of hand. It starts with a fake card game, shifts into a fantasy roleplaying game called Questbound, and slowly turns into a real-world quest none of them are ready for.
The joke is simple: they thought they were playing the game. The game may have been playing them back.
Created by Nathan Howard with story ideas from the FOREST WALK crew.
Main Table
Nathan
Banter chaos. Mechanically wrong, emotionally right.
Micah
Quest structure guy. Thinks in objectives, one-shots, and how to actually finish this mess.
Joey
Rules-lawyer. Reluctant problem-solver. The guy who starts realizing the joke has become a problem.
Landon
Music, vibes, and pattern-noticing. He hears the game syncing before everyone else sees it.
New Guy
Mysterious early arrival. Knows too much. Has dice nobody should trust.
Questbound
Questbound is the original tabletop RPG inside FOREST WALK, and it is being developed as a real game. The regular rules are clean, simple, and built around fast one-shot adventures.
In the movie, those regular rules get corrupted by New Guy’s strange dice and the group’s terrible decisions. Because apparently game night needed consequences.
